How To Set Up Group Call MOTOROLA TLKR 80 Walkie-Talkie Tutorials

Group call is a wonderful concept and technology that has helped to initiate communication in an effective manner within the group. It is like a conference call where more than one people join in a conversation for the sharing of information. If you are suing walkie-talkie while undertaking trekking or trip, the feature goes a long way in delivering sterling results to the users. All they have to do is to set up the group calling on each gadget so that they could access different information related to weather at various locations. With the calling facility available, people can brainstorm and take effective decisions in times of crisis. For instance, during flood and thunder storms, the rescue workers can communicate with each other to ensure better coordination in the relief effort. Unlike the cell phone network where people have to pay money for the group call, the Wi-Fi conference is absolutely free of cost for the users. Companies prefer the features for the employees because they can transmit and receive the information on a fly. Instead of making multiple calls, one single group call can resolve the issue and help the members to work better.

Set-Up-Group-Call

Motorola TLKR 80 is a class apart as far as the communication technology is concerned. Backed by 22 channels and 121 privacy codes, it offers array of options to the users to initiate conversations. Apart from PTT, key pad lock and many other features it also provides an ideal group calling platform. Before using technology, you should set up the feature on the gadgets that are participating in the call.

Switch on the walkie-talkie by rotating the knob placed on the upper left corner. By default the device is set to number 1 channel. You can press the up and down arrow key to select the desired channel on which you are looking to set up the call.

In order to accomplish the task, activate the scan feature to find the free channel for the voice transmission. It will provide list of channel that can be chosen by pressing the select key.

Thereafter, you need to hold and press the group menu button located on the walkie-talkie to get relevant options on the screen. GRP acronym with n on top appears on the screen. The n indicates no, therefore you should press the upper arrow key to select the yes alternative. You should again press the select button with Code option appearing on the screen. It is the CTSS code to ensure privacy of the conversation. One can select any of the 12 1 codes available for selection. If you again press the select button, it will throw up the alternatives of choosing the ringtone of the call.

Once the ringtone has been selected, what you can do is to choose the id number from one to sixteen. It would help to set up the gadget for the group calling. It is important to ensure that the group name is also chosen for advanced identification. You can accomplish the e task by pressing the select button. With group calling, people have tremendous advantage because they can be connected to each other during the trip and also coordinate their efforts without any hassles.

One of the most important aspects of the calling is that in spite of lots of members communicating through the same channel, the level of distortion is very low. As a result, you can hear crystal clear voices without any problem and share information about the location. Even in case of storm and avalanches, group members would not get lost because they can initiate group call in a jiffy.
